This is another blog post in our series of Team Hallam Top Tips.
Facebook is becoming an important part of many businesses marketing mix – and businesses large and small are finding great success by leveraging it. One of the biggest problems that we see at Hallam is companies that jump in without thought or strategy. Knowing who you want to engage with, why you want to use Facebook and how to go about using it successfully are key. This post is meant as a primer for those who are new to Facebook for business and for those who want to the most of their Facebook page.

Great Blog as always!
Any tips on how to make a customised facebook ‘header image’? jayne x
Hi Jayne,
Really glad you enjoyed the post!
With regards to the ‘header image’, I think that’s the photostrip on your Page’s Wall. You can choose which 5 images appear there. To remove an image, when logged in as Admin, simply hover over it and click on the black cross that will appear in the top right. Another photograph from your album will appear in it’s place.
To create a more customised photostrip, you can upload custom images (such as your phone number, your logo, text about a special offer, pictures of your staff etc) to your photo album. This will make it possible for these to display in your photostrip. If you need the images to display in a certain order (to create a panoramic image for example) you will need to upload the photos in the order that you want them to display i.e the image you want on the far left of your photostrip should be uploaded first and so on.
If you mean how do you change your personal profile Timeline Cover (a cover is the larger photo at the top of your timeline, above your profile picture), then you may find this information useful – http://www.facebook.com/help/timeline/cover
Hope that helps Jayne, let us know how you get on!
