		<description>While we usually design to fixed width layouts rather than fluid ones (less planning and coding involved), we design to 1024x768 (well ~ 999x600 taking into account toolbars etc). We&#039;ve noticed an average of around 3% as well have 800x600 but we still try and fit the most important content of the site in this area.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;For a fluid layout, I would be tempted to optimise the design for 1280x800 since 1024x768 is now on the decline and greater resolutions on the rise, providing it degrades nicely to 1024x768</description>
