Nottingham Trent University graduate Cara May-Cole has joined Team Hallam as a Digital PR Executive. She graduated with a 2:1 degree in Broadcast Journalism.

It took Cara two attempts to make it through Hallam’s rigorous recruitment process to get a coveted role in our Digital PR team. When at first she didn’t succeed, Susan took the time following the interview to give her constructive feedback, and identified the lack of experience being the only barrier to getting the job. Cara then went out and got another job at another boutique agency. She came back a year later and reapplied to us, which demonstrated the kind of determination and tenacity that makes it clear she’s got the perfect attitude to join our company.

Susan Hallam was involved in recruiting Cara, and she commented “Cara was keen to get started working in the digital PR industry, but when she first applied she just didn’t have the demonstrable experience we require. But what she did fills me with admiration.

“The fact she chose to come back and reapply to Hallam with her new found knowledge an experience speaks volumes about her character, and is a real testament to the type of team and ethos we have built here at Hallam. I’m really proud to have her as part of our team.”

“I’m incredibly pleased to join the Hallam team and get involved with a completely new set of clients” says Cara.  “I am now equipped with a considerable amount of PR experience and skills that I can now bring to my new client base.  The high standard and reputation that Hallam Internet deliver across all sectors will be sure to enhance my knowledge within PR and enable me reach my full potential within the company.”
