The client 

Aggregate Industries are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of building materials to the construction and infrastructure industry, with over 200 sites across the UK supplying aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, cement and precast concrete products. 

Alongside this, Aggregate Industries are playing a significant role in enabling the UK to transition to net zero with their established range of low carbon solutions.

The challenge 

Aggregate Industries approached us to cement their position as the leader in their sector by building website traffic and organic performance through SEO and Digital PR. 

In particular, Aggregate’s team wanted additional marketing support to help drive awareness of their commitment to sustainable building solutions.

Aggregate’s marketing team also wanted to build on their overall online presence and website optimisation.

What we did 

Our SEO team conducted keyword research and competitor analysis to identify the gaps and opportunities, rewriting the metadata for all their top level service pages with engaging copy and creating a content plan and content briefs for educational blog content to drive traffic and nurture lead conversion. 

Following a thorough SEO audit, our team also flagged several technical SEO issues, such as broken pages, backlinks and redirects. Fixing these issues improved the technical foundations and user experience of the website.

Helping to build awareness of Aggregate’s products and values around sustainability, our team created new pages to target keywords and support the overall user experience by highlighting the sustainable options open to Aggregate’s customers.

Since work began, we’ve seen impressive movement, with some target keywords having moved from not ranking at all to ranking on page one with a search volume of 5.4k.

Aggregate has also started working with our Experience team to conduct a research-led UX strategy to drive a truly customer-centric experience.
