The talent and dedication of Team Hallam have been rewarded yet again with another accolade - Creative Industries Business of the Year at the Nottingham Post Business Awards.
We are one of 13 leading companies in Nottingham to have gone home with a trophy from the Nottingham Post’s glittering ceremony at East Midlands Conference Centre. Team Hallam are delighted to be recognised for our continuous efforts to make a difference to our clients, colleagues and the greater Nottinghamshire region.
We want to send a huge thank you to the Creative Industries Business Award Sponsors, Your IT Department, to the awards organisers, The Nottingham Post, and of course to our clients who make all of this possible for us.
Why did we win the Nottingham Creative Industries Business Award? Perhaps is because of our amazing work space
We have recently created a dedicated collaborative workspace in our offices, specifically designed for stimulating creativity and free thinking.
At the heart of this new floor is our Town Hall, a light and airy open plan area, furnished with comfortable seating for informal conversations, sharing of ideas, and brainstorming. Some of our most original ideas arise from our communal lunch table with seating for 12. There is also sufficient seating for the whole company in The Town Hall to meet together and we are using the 85″ monitor for our in-house training programme, Hallam School, as well as for client briefings.
Perhaps it is our creative thinking
Creativity plays an essential part of our business culture, particularly during the recent merger of our two businesses. Our in-house team developed team building games to improve internal communications, ranging from problem solving using children’s floor puzzles through to sharing secret facts about ourselves.
And of course we generate creative solutions for our clients ranging from websites to infographics and interactive maps. We created and delivered a Lego Competition for a Chemistry Equipment Manufacturer that was hugely successful.
And our creative thinking extends to how we manage our business, manage our client relationships, and address the challenges of a growing business.
Perhaps it is our dedication to sharing our knowledge
We are committed to contributing to the creative industries in the region by freely sharing our creative industries knowledge. We do this by working in partnership with some of the region’s leading organisations.
This spring alone we delivered briefings on digital trends and digital leadership in collaboration with leading organisations including Browne Jacobson, the Chartered Institute of Marketing and LATi.
Perhaps it was our dedication to Nottingham’s Creative Community
Team Hallam value local businesses and their efforts to make Nottingham a bigger spot on the culture map. We use our specialist knowledge in the Cultural Sector to provide digital marketing support to The Nottingham Playhouse and Inspire Culture, as well as national arts organisations like IT4Arts.
Susan also contributes her digital marketing knowledge to the transformative £26 million Nottingham Castle project as a Trustee of the Nottingham Castle Trust. In addition to our extensive annual CSR programme, this year we offer special social media support to local female entrepreneurs through our “She Means Business” Facebook-accredited workshop
Hallam has also been shortlisted for the Digital Strategy of the Year in the The Drum Marketing Awards 2017 – one of the industry’s most sought after accolades.
