As the premiere celebration of SEO, PPC and Content Marketing talent across Europe, the European Search Awards were back in person for their 2022 award show, welcoming digital agencies from across Europe (including members of our own team!)
With the top search agencies from across Europe all competing for a coveted award, we’re delighted to say that we took home the most prestigious award of the night: ‘Best Large Integrated Search Agency’.
About the awards
Over the course of the last decade, the European Search Awards have celebrated excellence and highlighted the expertise and talent within the search industry.
Every year, this event attracts hundreds of award nominations, and we’re honoured to have won the ‘Best Large Integrated Search Agency’ in such a competitive category with so many fantastic nominees.
Julio Taylor, our CEO said, “We’re really proud to be crowned best large integrated agency — being a unified strategic team is our most important mission, so to be recognised as one of the leading agencies in Europe it is a huge boost for us. Congratulations to the other winners on the night and to all who were nominated.”
So, what won us the award?
This achievement is in recognition of our work with our clients, including Boots Hearingcare, where we delivered a strategy which saw a huge 91% increase in website conversion rate and a 85% increase in organic transactions.
It also recognised the overall performance of all our clients, as shown in this organic performance index graph:
Alongside this, it also acknowledges the hard work that’s taken place in improving how we do business, with initiatives such as our Green Small Business certification, which recognises our commitment to improving the management of all of our significant environmental impacts and part of our step towards B Corp certification.
We were also recognised for our collaboration with the Agency Collective to produce a diversity and inclusion report, which is the first of its kind within the industry and the publishing of our own transparency report. Additionally, it’s also in recognition of a culmination of other internal factors and endorsements such as being named as one of Campaign magazine’s best places to work in both 2021 and 2022, and in The Times Top 100 Employers, as well as creating a range of policies to support our staff, including the opportunity to work from anywhere, our miscarriage policy which details employees’ rights – regardless of gender – and enhanced parental leave, giving equal leave to both parents.

Held in person for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Search Awards 2022 were held within the beautiful La Llotja de Mar in Barcelona. As a historical venue that’s previously been the home of the first Iberian Opera and also the place where Gaudí and Picasso honed their skills, on the 26th May 2022, it also greeted other creative masterminds – AKA members of Team Hallam.
As one of Hallam’s representatives who was there on the night, Kiorhte Aghoghogbe, Senior Account Manager, said: “This is the top accolade in the industry so it’s a huge honour and we are very proud to win. There are so many people who have worked so hard to win this award so collectively amongst us we have a great sense of achievement and accomplishment. It’s fantastic.”
