Here at Hallam Internet we’ve been proud to be sponsors of Nottingham Playhouse over a number of years and are calling on local businesses and individuals to help the Playhouse reach its £25,000 70th Anniversary Fund target, to continue its amazing work in the East Midlands.
Nottingham Playhouse has been the beating heart of the city’s art scene since 1948 and is set to mark its 70th year with a special Anniversary Gala this month (Thursday 22 November), including a performance of the five-star-rated production of Alan Bennett’s The Madness of George III, starring Olivier award-winner Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, The League of Gentlemen, Doctor Who, Wolf Hall).
Having acted as a springboard for the careers of stars such as Ian McKellen, Judi Dench and Hugh Grant, it’s easy to forget that the Playhouse is, first and foremost, a charity.
Looking to raise £25,000, the organisation is putting on the star-studded affair, which will include drinks and canape reception in the company of famous faces, a special performance of the critically acclaimed The Madness of George III and access to an exclusive auction of ‘money-can’t-buy’ prizes, as well as post-performance party.
