Hallam is a Google Premier Partner and I was privileged to attend an Executive Summit at Google HQ along with CEOs and Managing Directors of 40 agencies from across Europe. I'd like to share my first impressions of Google's campus in Dublin.
The purpose of the day was to share not only the best practice with other premier partner agencies but also the latest thinking and trends from Google on the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Spending time at Google HQ is a privilege as well as great fun. With it being my first time there I thought I would share some of the inspiring ideas I discovered at The Foundry, part of Google’s HQ campus in Dublin.
The venue has an overarching “Posh Garage” look, with exposed beams ceilings and bold blocks of colour. I’m no photographer, but couldn’t resist sharing some of my quick snaps with you all.
The entrance
The Google entrance is instantly welcoming and personalised to its visitors.
Inspiring quotes adorn the walls and the LCD screens….
Gadgetry
You would be expecting gadgets aplenty, and you would not be disappointed. Need to charge your kit? Even the charging stations are Google on-brand:
The smaller auditorium seats up to 50 delegates. Topics ranged from culture to machine learning and whilst I can’t go into the detail of what was discussed in the presentations, this shot gives a flavour of some the key messages:
As you would expect, the attention to detail is stylish and impressive. From being picked up from the airport, the welcome gift on the hotel bed, right the way through to every Googler I met (of which there were many) knowing my name and background.
Just as impressive was Google’s outstanding catering facilities, with an amazing lunch provided at their rooftop restaurant with views over Dublin.
The summit
The Google team made it clear the event was not just educational, but a way to say thanks to all of us, their premier partners. The attention to detail and hospitality was exemplary and always perfectly on brand – I’m certainly looking forward to visiting again!
