Have you ever wondered what your favourite historical figures would be like if you met them in real life?
What restaurants would they eat at? Where would they hang out? What would they Google search?
Here we’ve looked at Google Trends and imagined what six famous historical figures would search for on Google if they were alive today, as well as offering a few interesting facts along the way.

Albert Einstein

It’s been over 100 years since Albert Einstein published his famous theory of relativity, which changed the scientific community forever.
These days the word Einstein is synonymous with genius, but we’re betting that even the godfather of physics would be impressed by how much Google can teach us!

Audrey Hepburn

Avocado on toast? How about a chai latte with your truffle infused poached eggs? We think style icon Audrey Hepburn would love the number of breakfast options available these days, (as would her millions of Instagram followers), and she’d be enjoying them at Tiffany’s, of course!

Cleopatra

Celebrated for her beauty, we all know that if Cleopatra came out with a makeup line today she’d knock brands like KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics off the market. We’d love to see her reaction when finding all the Halloween makeup tutorials inspired by her on YouTube!

Napoleon

While “small man syndrome” isn’t actually a proven condition, fewer historical figures embody its characteristics better than Napoleon. While he nearly succeeded in his long campaign to rule Europe, we can’t help but wonder if he’d had access to a smartphone, would his attention be elsewhere?

Henry VIII

Forget the recent royal wedding, Henry VIII ruled Britain for 38 years and had six failed marriages. Surely a quick search and a swipe through a popular dating app would have saved everyone a lot of time (not to mention their heads!)

Florence Nightingale

Popularly known as “The Lady with the Lamp”, Nightingale’s work fundamentally defined modern nursing as we know it. We just can’t help but wonder how useful a Google Home device would’ve been during those dark Crimean nights!
