After an award-winning year, we’re excited to announce the expansion of our Paid Media team.

The expansion sees the promotion of Simran Harichand and Amani Majed to Senior Paid Media Consultant roles and we’ve also welcomed a new hire, Maria Paschalidou.

Meet our new starter, Maria

Jack Brown, Head of Paid Media at Hallam, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Maria to the team as a Senior Paid Media Consultant – with a remarkable track record of success in the digital marketing space and 5 years of omni-channel paid advertising experience, she’s an asset to have in the team and is already delivering award winning results for our largest clients across Paid Search & Social.”

When Maria first moved to the UK 5 years ago after finishing her Masters in Marketing and Management in the Netherlands, she started working in-house, at vet surgeries and pet shops in London, and then for a property investment company in Warrington.

She always wanted to focus on paid media and pushed her managers to let her manage all their accounts. She knew her ultimate goal was to work in an agency, with bigger budgets, a variety of clients, and with people with the same mindset.

Maria said: “The first thing that was apparent to me when starting my role was that everyone really cares about my own personal and professional development, and, although many of us are working remotely, it’s such a supportive and uplifting environment to work in. Hallam is by far the best company I’ve worked for and I’m so pleased to have been given the space and tools I need to deliver great results.”

Internal promotion devotion

We take a lot of pride in the training and development of our team, so we’re always delighted to promote their hard work and professional growth.

Molly Watters, Paid Media Team Lead, added: “Since becoming Simran and Amani’s manager at Christmas, they’ve blown me away time and time again. Simran’s always pushing to learn more; seeing her deliver both fantastic results and paid media training for her clients after only 18 months into her career is nothing short of impressive.

“Similarly, Amani has delivered consistently excellent results for clients since joining Hallam and brings client-centricity to the forefront in her role. Her natural passion for marketing coupled with her desire and ability to upskill herself at every opportunity makes her all the more deserving of this promotion.”

Whilst every agency under the sun seems to offer fruit at the office and office dogs these days (of which we also do), we’re proud to offer plenty of other benefits, including generous and continuous training and learning programmes. Whether you want to focus on innovation, volunteer for a charity or enrol on a professional qualification course such as a CIM or an MBA, you’ll have the time to do this.

Simran said: “The promotion has felt very rewarding. I have enjoyed my progression in the Paid Media space and I’m really excited to get stuck into bigger clients with more complex strategies.”

Amani added: “I am so happy to receive this promotion. Not only does it reflect my professional growth, but also the great support I receive from my managers on a daily basis. I look forward to continuing my growth, learning, and making a positive impact on my team and the work I do for my clients”.

An exciting year of growth and recognition for our Paid Media team

These changes to the team come at a time when Hallam’s Paid Media capabilities are being recognised globally and across Europe, earning themselves the title ‘Best Integrated Search Agency’ at both the European Search Awards in May 2023 and the Global Search Awards in July, closely followed by a win at the European Paid Media Awards this September.

Jack added: “It’s been a really exciting year for our team; it’s a testament to their hard work to ensure our clients are getting the best from their budget. The award wins, promotions and team expansion are a perfect reflection of the efforts put into each and every campaign we deliver.”
